About Jeff West

Jeff West I try to look past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is my style. The challenge is to see beyond the conspicuous and identify why a scene captured my interest. This helps me see the world a little differently and hopefully show that difference to the viewer. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in unusual places.

My love of animals, especially dogs, will be apparent to the viewer. I spent more time with dogs in front of my camera than any other subject.

I only use natural light and try to accurately represent what I see at the moment of capture. In this way, I can share scenes and moments with people that they may otherwise never have the opportunity to see. My hope is that these images will create interest and stimulate the viewer’s imagination.
